VIrtual Business Personal Finance game tips?
Well we are playing the game to qualify for nationals in DECA and in the competitions I made a $118,000 net worth and am currently 44 in the southern region. Well I was wondering what I can do to improve my score so that I actually have a chance at qualifying since only one person per school can go. I’ve no car, do the food service management career path with the 13 week college then switch from cashier to shift manager to store manager and all of that. Is there a better way to go or am I just doing something wrong with it?
At the beginning I enrolled in the 13 week Food Service Management and got three cashier jobs. After I finished school I got one more cashier job until I had one year experience and got four Shift Manager jobs. Two years of experience there and I got two Store Manager jobs along with the two Shift manager jobs I kept. No car. Cheapest bed. That’s pretty much it… Thank you!
Food I keep some money in my checking account and waint until there is a sale once there is I buy the majority of my food. I did the math and the single bag of food(which is obviously the better deal of the three) you have to buy a minimum of 157 times throughout the three years(and I apoligise for not putting that) so I buy as much as I can when it’s at it’s cheapest. I pay all my taxes the day I get them. And I forgot to mention that I choose the bank with 2.9% interest rate and deposit money into my savings account there every month. But the Store Manager has a higher pay than the Shift Manager
and if you wanna know how then I’ve basically already put everything I can think of on here.
how did you get 118,000? I ran this on my non-competition version (but only used the competition features) and could only get about 55,000,
yeah, like peter, 118,000 sounds VERY high for your career path, that’s almost double the optimal outcome
Response to EDIT !! AGAIN 🙂
I calculated all of this and only got shy of 65,000$. Is there any other steps that you take to save money?
