I used to use Microsoft Money as a personal finance software?

Microsoft has discontinued this program. I was still using an older version for a while because everything still worked I just had to manually enter bank statements instead of downloading them. I have now upgraded to Windows7 and I need a new personal finance software that I can use since the old one won’t work anymore.

Quickbooks is a good program, and easy to use

    Since you were manually entering transactions, have you tried the free Microsoft Money Deluxe Sunset edition? (download link on pg 3 of http://financialsoft.about.com/od/reviewsfinancesoftware/ig/Microsoft-Money-Plus-Sunset/Microsoft-Money-Plus-Sunset.-2TY.htm)

    Here are some other options for Windows personal finance software: http://financialsoft.about.com/od/morefinancialsoftware/tp/Windows_Personal_Finance.htm I would start with trying Moneydance and SplashMoney.

    Quicken is fine, but is not usually the best solution for former MS Money users and has no free trial while all the others on the list do. QuickBooks is not useful for personal finance management software, it’s for business accouting.
