QuickBooks or QuickBooks Pro. They’re so easy to learn to use and it will keep track of EVERYTHING. You’ll love it, especially since you live in the UK.

I’m moving there in September and someone recommended I use this software to keep track of receipts, university payments, rent, my personal finances, bank accounts, etc.

Believe me, you’ll fall in love with the software. It’s amazing!

    Free Excel sheets:
    http://www.vertex42.com/ExcelTemplates/personal-budget-spreadsheet.html

    QuickBooks is great…but costs money!

Another 2 free professional Personal Finances softwares (both OS independant):
    GFI
    http://downloads.sourceforge.net/gfd/gfp_0.8.1-WinSetup.exe?modtime=1192436169&big_mirror=0

    Mjrz
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/mjrz/

I have not used the two myself but the look pretty good from what I have seen of screenshots.

    I use Openoffice.
    Its free software with updates.
The spreadsheet is ok for personal finance.
If you want to, you can save your data with the .xml file extension which is compatable with ‘Works for windows 2003’.
    Look for Openoffice.org.
