Recommend software to produce a Budget, track finance for personal use?
Hi all.
I’m considering flatting with a few mates, but I have no idea how to organise my money effectively. Can anyone recommend (preferably free / open source) budgeting software that can track costs and savings?
I could use excel, but I’m curious what other options there are.
If you have any advice about renting, I’ll be glad to hear it too.

Try this. It is a budgeting tool provided by the public Citizens Advice bureau site adviceguide.
Its free too.
Haha well if its for something as small as that they Excel/ OpenOffice Excel would be the easiest thing to use. I know industry standard budgeting software is MYOB software and they may have something that would suit your needs. Does cost for the MYOB software but im sure you could find it elsewhere 😉

Mint.com is free, just make sure it links to all your accounts. Save as much money as you can in preparation for moving out, there are lots of start up costs like moving expenses and deposits.
