Personal Finance – Budget vs. Spending by Category – Average split for Australians?

Hi all
I created a budget for my spending 12 months ago and now have a years worth of data. I’m using Microsoft Money and downloading my bank statements to it so I have a lot of transparency about where things are going. This year I want to start actually managing the budget by looking at areas we can save. I was kind of shocked that things like holidays and clothes came up in the top 10 categories and was wondering whether there are some averages for Australian households out there? thanks! Susan
