What is the best way to learn about taxes at 16 years old?
I enjoy talking and learning about investing and personal finance but also want to learn about taxes because I’m thinking about majoring in Accounting how should I learn about taxes
Start doing your own taxes for one as you’ll learn a little bit. Then go to the book store and pick up a book or two and look for something basic. But nothing beats doing it.

You can go to a college at night and take an Income Tax Class.
Another idea is to go to an IRS office and pick up Publication 17. This publication has general information on income tax preperation and it refers you to other publications that go into more detail. You can also call the IRS at (800) 829-1040 and request the Publication 17, or visit the IRS web site at http://www.irs.gov and downloat the publication in the forms section.

You could take a course offered by one of the tax prep companies. I don’t want to mention names, but some of the courses are good. They start in the summer.
You might be able to get a job as a seasonal customer service rep at one of the tax prep places.
