Here is a tip if you don’t want to spend money on a book, go to your local library and they should and almost always have a section with books full of personal finance information. That way you spend no money and have access to several different ones.

Personal finance is composed of several different areas. You can get books on each of these areas.

There are a number of books put out by the For Dummies publishing company. This publisher contracts with authors who are both experts in their field, and have the ability to put concepts into easy to understand prose.

For Dummies publishes books on everything from astronomy to zoology, and everything in between. There are several books on different aspects of personal finance. Just google "for dummies".
