What can I do if I don’t go to college? Is it really hard to find a job without a college degree?

Honestly, I really dislike going to school… Recently, I fell in love with stock market and personal finance. I read more books than ever…

Any input?

Careful with the stock market, it can make you a pile of money and take it (and a lot more) away in a single day.

An education is more important today than it was when I was younger, I do have some college but no degree, I also have a 6 figure salary, all it took was hard work and a little luck.

I would recommend that you finish college and get your degree, you will never regret it unless you fail to do it while you have the chance.

You can start off small on your investments and perhaps get a part time job to learn the investment business.

Good luck to you.

In today’s market, there isn’t much hope for those without further education. If not college, a technical school, or apprenticeship in a trade.

Or your could work at walmart

In this day in age, you should go to school. If really do need a degree to have any job or to make a good living. Since you like the stock market and personal finance, you should take some classes for that.

having a college diploma is very important in asian countries but other wise its really just a diploma, a ticket for them to say that you had some learning and they trust it more when it comes to applying a job, of course practically speaking its a plus to have a diploma, but if you have the drive to prove it to the world then you need not go to college, but it would be long way there.you have to be tough like bill gates or that talented like oprah.

I know people who went to college for years, has a law degree and works at a metal company and makes $12.00/hr.
I also know some one who doesn’t have a college degree, but went through an apprenticeship program (plumber) and makes great money. As a journey man he makes $34.00/hr.
So, honestly it all depends on how driven you are to succeed at whatever it is you want to do. If you despise learning, but want to get into a certain field, start looking in that field. Keep in mind that you will not start out at the top and you will have to work very hard to get there, but it is possible.
    Good Luck!

You can actually go to school and major in a business related field. You are already reading books related to business which is pretty much what you will be reading in college plus a little something else. In today’s society a degree is very important. If you don’t mind making a minimum wage salary then don’t go to school and try and find a job that will be up to your standards. You can also join the military, become a cop, but your best bet would be to get an education. At the end, you will probably be more happy. Think about it…

It is incredibly hard to find a good paying job without that little piece of paper saying you have a degree. Take it from a person who has only two years of college (no associates 🙁 ) and has had more crappy jobs than she can count. The only jobs where I was able to get more than $7 an hour were either telemarketing (I don’t recommend it) or where I had some experience or I knew someone.

For example, I was a temp for a few days at this marketing company a couple years ago. The human resource/project manager and I went to lunch a couple times and we got to know each other fairly well. She learned a lot about the things I had done in previous jobs and wanted to hire me full time to fill another project manager slot. Only problem was, I had more than enough experience but the higher ups couldn’t accept the thought of someone without a degree filling the position. Talk about a bummer. I would have been making a minimum of $40,000 a year.

On stock market trading. I did manage to work in the securities industry for a while as support staff and learned a lot from that. Stock market investing and personal finance are meant to be long term solutions. If you try to make a quick buck, your more likely to lose. Get your education, land a good job and invest a portion of your paycheck each month. It’s way more stable that way.

Your best bet is a government job, check the city websites near you. Decent pay and decent benefits, and ok career opportunities. Once you’re stable you can look more serioisly int wall street.
