Losing Weight The Hard Way – Part 1: Intro

I am starting a new thing where I blog about losing weight. I am at the start of a long journey to lose weight and get fit and healthy by eating right and exercising. I call it the “hard way” because it’s not just a quick fix for now, not a fad, and not a pill. This is the real way to lose weight, and it’s going to take sweat and tears and self-control and behavior modification.

    I’m so happy you …
    I’m so happy you posted this. I’m about the same height as you (5’8″) and I want to lose weight by running too. It’s going to bore me to death, but seeing you now, and then seeing you in your later video’s is giving me a lot of inspiration. I hate being that girl in gym that can’t keep running without going red in the face, so I’m going to start running and work my way up to running 6 miles. The day I achieve that and lose a good amount of weight, I will be the happiest person alive.

    I have a similar problem, my arms are kind of flabby, but my stomach is what really bothers me, I could live with everything else if my stomach and arms would trim down tomorrow. But, I’ve been trying it the “hard way” exercise and a better diet and I agree, it doesn’t take long to start feeling great! I can see muscles in like my knees and I’m starting to see them in my arms… Thanks for speaking out for HEALTHY, not SKINNY!! I love it!

    lol, yeah I meant short height. 95 pounds would be a little underweight for your height, even with a small frame. Don’t get too skinny, it wouldnt be any more healthy than being overweight, lol. I’m 5’7 and I’m doing the weight loss thing too. down 26 pounds now. Best of luck though!

    No one can help you …
    No one can help you with that but you. You have to learn self control. Otherwise, whenever someone waves a cheese burger in your face, you’ll give in and eat it. People are gonna eat whatever they want around you, they’re not the ones trying to lose weight. It’s totally up to you to take control. When you do, then you’ll start seeing results.
