I couldn’t have …
I couldn’t have said it better myself. You might add useful tools for repairing and salvaging to the list.
I fail to see the …
I fail to see the use of precious metal stockpiling. These materials have 0 utility apart from making electronics I guess and the best medium of exchange if one honestly feels the need to have barter goods are items that sustain the means of life: food, clothing, blankets, and so on… The need for these is the only constant we may rely upon in an unknown future, economically speaking or otherwise
I think I proved …
I think I proved the point about the hopelessness of going it alone on my futile three-year pilgrimage to the Andes Mountains. Of course, for all intents and purposes, I am still going it alone now that I am back with my comatose friends in my own country.
When it comes to …
When it comes to economic collapse, it should be mentioned what some of the finest minds are saying on the subject. According to Charles Eisenstein, community is the most important thing. Going it alone is not recommended. Guy McPherson, Richard Heinberg and Michael Ruppert say the same thing. Downsizing, small property with water access, fruit trees, gardens, perennials, physical silver in 1 ounce coins, shedding crap, all good ideas. Going it alone, not recommended for most people.
If anyone is …
If anyone is interested in downsizing their place of residence and looking for options, there’s a fine youtube channel run by “kirstendirksen” . She gives all sorts of examples of tiny custom-made homes. Another guy is Jay Shafer. If interested, do a youtube search on “we the tiny house people 2012”. There are many interesting links to investigate. That’s about all I know for the moment. Most people will probably want running water, which means that Hambone’s trailer is too austere for them.
Wow, that is …
Wow, that is amazing. Guess I blinked right through yesterday.
it’s the 30th…. …
it’s the 30th…. we’ve made it even further than the 29th.
