It is run by the …
It is run by the same people who runTransunion and Quicken. Have you ever heard of a disgruntled employee at one of the major credit reporting companys coping everyone’s credit history? People don’t do crap like that because it is a nasty federal crime and the person always gets caught.

It sounds good until some hacker or employee who has not been promoted decides to get even and download everybodys banking info and gives it out to any and everybody. Nothing is truly safe on the internet.

its really a great service, why would millions of people trust a company and not one person has had funds taken. Plus it’s backed by Intuit.

    I’ve been using …
I’ve been using Mint for few months now, at first, I just started with my credit card because I didn’t trust Mint. I figure even if something did go bad, it’s only my low credit limit Cap 1 card anyways. I noticed that they didn’t require any account numbers, routing numbers or credit card numbers, so I added my bank information. I don’t think you’re really at risk here. It’s a great product and I recommend it. If you log on to your stuff, that’s as far as people can go with your info

    I have used Mint …
I have used Mint for 2 years now and I love it…Mint really helps with budgeting your funds, payment reminders and all. They have never taken any money from either of my account ( and I have 3 set up with them; family, business, and personal banking accounts). I totally trust Mint and I recommend anyone trying to get their budget on track to try it out. he best thing I love about it is the monthly reports you can view to see where you went wrong. I trusted Mint for two years & will continue to!

    Exactly. Anyone …
Exactly. Anyone trusting this Mint Application with your bank password are like the people that click on these spam email links. Don’t do it! Search for applications that upload your bank file you and you alone download to your drive.

I’m a bit wary about giving away any passwords to anyone else.I know Mint.com isn’t a scam, but even so. It’s my bank password. I feel like I’d be whispering my vault combination to someone I just met.

    Update to my …
Update to my response below. It helps to read the information completely. :p You will get advertisements from financial institutions, investment companies, etc., that are recommended by Mint. Mint gets paid from the advertisers should you decide to sign up, so my correction is that they DON’T take money from your savings.

    In response to the …
In response to the questions below on how they make money. First, did you notice at the end of the video the name “Intuit” – the makers of Quicken? You’ll also see links at the bottom of some of the pages of their website to Quicken products. Second, on their website, one page I looked at had a disclaimer at the bottom, where it will often be missed, that says “We make money when you make money.” So read the fine print to see how much they are going to take from your savings.

Do the “Goals” that you’ve set automattically come out? I’ve set a “Goal” to pay x amount extra each month on a credit card. Will it process the overage itself, or do I have to manually input the extra payment?
