I want to use money management tools to manage my income from part-time jobs. What are the basic features that they offer?
best management tool is yourself. you should go to the library and get the book the total money makeover by dave ramsey it has all the answers on how to build a budget, pay off debt and create wealth. it can be done as simple as a spreadsheet in your computer. you need to know where your money is going and by writing it out and following the plan you will win. when you create a budget it takes about 3 months to get use to it and to create a habit of checking it adjusting it and living by it. I do mine every pay period, so every dollar has a name before I get my paycheck so I just pay all the bill for the week and then do groceries and stuff.
You can go to the Quicken website for tips on money management and budgeting for free. There are also several good programs you can buy or that are included with other programs. Money Coach is one of them, and I believe I got my copy when I bought my TurboTax program this year. What they basically give you are tools to start a budget, what to do to set up tracking, how to adjust for specific needs you have, and tips on saving money, which is the most important thing.
